Half-Day Jungle Trek

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Bukit Lawang and start our 3 hour trek into the jungle of Gunung Leuser National Park. We don’t give a guarantee, but you might encounter wild orangutans, thomas leaf monkeys, gibbons, hornbills, turtles, peacocks or monitor lizards.

First we pass public land with rubber and cacao plantations before we head to the entrance of the National park. We explore the jungle and try to spot orangutans.

During the trek we will tell you about the flora and fauna of the national park and teach you about the plants that we use for traditional medicine. We will then provide you with fruits and walk back to your accommodation in Bukit lawang.
